City Brand Media Purchases a 25 City(dot)Com Portfolio, Bringing Owned/Managed Online Brands to 140

City Brand Media, a media, publishing, and management company dedicated exclusively to the City(dot)com business model, has just finalized a purchase of 25 small to medium sized market City brands. CEO and Partner Fred Mercaldo states, “In addition to our ownership of Burbank.com and DistrictOfColumbia.com, we have added an additional 25 new brands to our existing 115 PLUS managed cities. As the world continues to evolve as to how we research information and navigate our daily lives in the digital space, we believe totally in the credibility that pure City(dot)com brands brings to the marketplace. Advertisers and consumers both have embraced this model, and we will continue to add both managed and owned brands to our portfolio.
The portfolio was purchased from domain investor Shai Neubauer. Shai states, “While we have been an aggressive geo domain buyer in the past, our focus has changed in the previous year as we are now strictly focusing on building our Jewish niche portals, such as KosherMedia.com and others. Fred and City Brand Media were the natural buyers for my portfolio, and I am happy to see these names are in the right hands, and will be developed properly.”
