Scottsdale.com, LLC is pleased to announce that it will be launching a new arts section on Scottsdale.com, in partnership with the Scottsdale Gallery Association,( SGA), and its gallery members. “The art scene is a very important part of what makes Scottsdale so special, and we are happy to support all of our local galleries by promoting the activities, events and shows in which the galleries will be participating. The partnership with the Scottsdale Gallery Association will prove to be beneficial to the entire community, and we have enlisted the services of one of the top writers in Arizona, Lynette Carrington, to provide insightful articles, interviews and more in order to promote all of the activities of our thriving arts district,” states Scottsdale.com CEO Fred Mercaldo.

Kickoff for the arts section is scheduled for mid-October and the initial event that will be covered will be the October 23rd the historic 40th Scottsdale ArtWalk, which happens to be their “kickoff to the high cultural season” and the event will Celebrate 40 years of ArtWalk the Line , at 6pm. on Main Street.
The SGA is coordinating a dedication and festivities including a ceremony to celebrate the 40th Anniversary with the Vice Mayor of Scottsdale and other key city and city officials.
Recognition will be given to the Galleries through the 4 decades, in addition to key players, the City of Scottsdale and supporters of the Scottsdale Arts District.
As part of the Celebrating the 40th Anniversary year the SGA is collaborating with the Scottsdale Unified Schools District. This partnership will feature visual artwork and musical performances by the SUSD students.
The SGA charity partner for the 40th Anniversary ArtWalk will be Tri for the Cure AZ benefiting the Susan G. Komen CANAZ for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Tri for the Cure AZ will have an information table on the walk. Each special ArtWalk will feature a charity partner.
